This voice app takes it up a notch than the usual apps confined to providing timely information and updates to its end-users. The Expedia skill attempts to enhance the user engagement experience by providing recommendations for suitable travel spots personalized to the user’s tastes and interests. Leveraging the easy, intuitive way of voice-activated technology, this skill has embedded features that fit the user’s basic needs.

With this skill, the user gets to have a more vivid vision of his next travel destination. Inspiring the curious and adventurous, the voice app allows a few options to connect with its users. The user can ask the voice app specifics about a destination or get suggestions on what to do upon reaching the desired travel spot. Another exciting feature of this voice app is the ability to update users on the reduced airline rates they can avail of on select destinations. Timely status updates on upcoming flights, available seats, layover time are a few of the features to mention. But one of the downsides was during the course of conversation there were instances wherein the skill failed to capture unfamiliar phrases and engage the user accordingly.
